first dish i remember cooking was cornflake crumb chicken. i dipped the pieces into the egg and flour, and my mother did the rest 🙂
I don’t know what the first thing I successfully made was, but I remember TRYING to make matzah balls and failing miserably.

I made toast and burnt my finger- I did not know that a toaster oven tray gets hot! I was by a neighbor and she let me use the toaster, I am an oldest so I was ten and I had still not been allowed to do that at home. It was definitely memorable.. My thumb had a blister that was almost double it’s size 🙂

The first thing I remember baking was called “snowball cookies”. These were delicious crunchy cookies rolled in powdered sugar. Yum!
